Hello, I'm Dr. Alexander, Hugterra's Founder
I was raised in the countryside just outside Portland, Oregon. My family ran a farm, and from early on I spent my days lending a hand there. My dad hoped I would stay and take over the land one day, but nothing appealed to me more than becoming a physician — so I set off to study medicine.
A Dream Come True
To keep it brief - I put in a huge amount of effort, earned a place to study at Oregon Health & Science University (which only admits 2.28% of applicants), and once I completed my training I spent nearly two decades as a neurologist at OHSU Hospital, growing into one of the state's foremost specialists.
Sharing My Experience
What troubled me was knowing that everything I had learned could be genuinely useful to people everywhere, yet with only 24 hours in a day I could only attend to a handful of patients at a time. I was certain I could reach many more people, and that is exactly what I set out to do.
Founding Hugterra
I dedicated months to research and development so that the very first product could bring together everything I had learned across 20+ years into a single device.
After a long run of prototypes and testing, the Hugterra Massager finally came to life.
Hugterra is now a growing brand backed by devoted customers who genuinely love our innovative massager. Although the company began simply as an answer to my wife's neck problems, it means a great deal to me that the product has improved the necks — and the daily lives — of so many people.
